About Summerlands Studio

Hello! I'm Emily Langstaff-Ellis, a passionate artist and children's illustrator from Devon. I have over a decade of freelance experience creating beautiful and engaging designs here at Summerlands Studio. My work is inspired by nature, travel and everyday life, and I always strive to create artwork that tells a story. 

 I specialise in creating artwork that evokes the light and joy of the ordinary. My work aims to engage viewers and spark emotions through visual narratives of everyday life, and in doing so, I hope to put a little light into the world.

My artwork is created using a mix of media, from gouache to acrylic. I mostly paint onto canvas but also love to paint commissions for furniture or murals. Most of my children's book illustrations are pencil and pastel, which creates a unique style and feel. Drop me a line here.
